This course is aimed at those wishing to conduct internal EMS audits or looking to further their knowledge and skills in EMS auditing. 
Course details 
The course will cover the following: 
  • General principles in auditing; 
  • Planning an audit; 
  • Conducting the audit;
  • Writing the audit report;
  • Following up non-conformances and corrective actions. 
 The course includes practical exercises on identifying and documenting non-conformances, and evaluating compliance with legal requirements. 
Start/end: 10:00-16:00 (welcome refreshments available from 09:30). 
Costs:  £165 plus VAT per person (£135 plus VAT for EcoCampus members). Lunch will be provided.

This workshop will be split into 2 sessions:
AM session (10am to 12pm) - EMS Overview 
Provide an overview of the entire EMS cycle from the Bronze through to the Platinum phase. -
PM session (1pm to 3pm) – Key topics discussions 
Discussions around practical solutions to typical EMS problems.

This course run in conjunction with Nick Gerrard Associates, is highly interactive and will enable delegates to learn through discussion and practice.  There are no power-point presentations!


An Introduction to Health & Safety Management Systems for the Education Sector

  • This one day course is designed to enable you to gain a detailed understanding of the background and requirements of the health and safety standards, OHSAS 18001:2007 and forthcoming ISO 45001.
  • It will assist those who are looking to start implementing a system to improve their organisation’s health & safety management system.    
  • Alternatively, the course will also assist organisations who are considering whether or not to adopt the standard as a framework for developing an effective health & safety management system.
The course will run from 9.30-4.30, inclusive of lunch and refreshments.
